Keltis

Vineyards of the Keltis wine cellar encompass 5 hectares of land and stretch over the south and south-western positions as well as northern slopes of the Bizeljsko area. Western winds blowing from neighboring Orlica take care of the ventilation and are our natural ally in the fight against diseases. Soil composition includes marl, sandstone with quartz binder, clay, Lithuanian limestone, and limestone with the application of chert.
Vine varieties: autochthonous rumeni plavec (used in sparkling wines because it gives the wine freshness and character), cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, merlot, Pinot noir, ottonel muscat, Riesling, yellow muscat, pinot gris, and traminer. - Zev Rovine

About the Winemaker

Keltis

Keltis wines epitomize the artisanal approach both in the vineyard and the cellar, showcasing their terroir and containing minimal sulfites. Many of our wines remain unfiltered, allowing them to retain their life and potential for further development. The marl, the primary rock of our terroir, imparts minerality to our wines, particularly noticeable in the macerated varieties. Following our philosophy, we work with the wines during the full moon when they are at their peak, enabling them to fully express their potential. Since we only observe their natural development without artificial interference, each vintage is released to the market when it is ready, allowing each to display its unique character in its own time.
