The Producer

About Louis-Antoine Luyt

Originally of Burgundy, Louis-Antoine Luyt arrived in Chile at the age of 22. He started making wine, pausing only to earn his oenology degree in Beaune. Since then, he has continued his focus on quality, natural wines made using indigenous yeasts and old vines. The Pipeño Blanco is a blend of half Moscatel de Alexandria and the rest a mix of Torontel, Semillon, and Chasslas. Did we mention that these grapes are from vines almost 200 years old? The result is a floral, medium-bodied, and creamy cuvée of unique personality. Kurtis Kolt wrote this one litre offering has "a nice touch of grip among notes of young almond, jasmine, lychee, and fresh lime."
