Producer Profile
Zlatan Bilo Idro
Zlatan Plenković, the trailblazer of contemporary winemaking in Croatia, began his journey as a modest fisherman in the quaint village of Sveta Nedjelja on Hvar island. In 1986, he laid the cornerstone of a small family enterprise, filling his inaugural wine bottle. By 1991, the winery had burgeoned into Croatia's second private winery, and today, Zlatan Otok Winery stands as one of the nation's largest private wine producers. His sons Marin and Nikola, along with winemaker Davor, now carry forward his esteemed legacy.
