Producer Profile

Domaine Rietsch

Over the past decade, we have deepened our commitment to producing natural wines, even though the term remains unregulated by legislation. Our approach is straightforward: it starts with a respectful cultivation of the vines and land, free from pesticides, weedkillers, fertilizers, insecticides, and synthetic antifungals. This philosophy continues through the aging process, where we add no inputs to the wine. Our dedication ensures that every bottle authentically reflects the purity of the vineyard and the integrity of our natural winemaking practices.

Where The Wines Come From

Alsace

Alsace, nestled in northeastern France, is renowned for its picturesque vineyards and a rich winemaking tradition dating back centuries. In recent years, this region has become a haven for natural wine enthusiasts, drawn to its commitment to organic and biodynamic practices. With its diverse terroir and cool climate, Alsace produces a spectrum of aromatic white wines, including Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris, each expressing unique characteristics of the land. Embracing minimal intervention methods, Alsace winemakers prioritize the expression of terroir, allowing the grapes to speak for themselves with minimal manipulation in the cellar. The result is a portfolio of vibrant and nuanced wines that capture the essence of Alsace's breathtaking landscape and the dedication of its winemakers to sustainable practices.
