October 2022 | Red Club
Welcome to the October Red Club from MYSA Natural Wine!
A note from our founder:
Fall is here and we're loving adding some more heft to our reds as the leaves change! This month we have some fun seasonal bottles and special bottles just for y'all! We've been waiting to work with Subject to Change for awhile and this Syrah is killer! Ridiculo is the best for easy, food friendly hosting, some Slovakian native grapes + Cab Sauv that's actually giving us Pinot vibes! We also saved the last bottles of our most popular Bourgueil ever for y'all!

About Vina Laurent

We seek to do what we like, express our passion, make wines with soul, with their own identity, we do not seek to be pretentious in it, it is simply to seek and interpret what nature gives us. That is why our wines are different each year , each year the imprint that nature wanted to leave us is impregnated and therefore, as a result, what matters most to us is sharing our wines. -Laurent Wines

About Pierre Borel

Simplicity is key here - Pierre makes only one wine, and seeks to vinify in as straightforward a way as possible. The sandy gravel soils yield fragrant fruit which is fermented in a simple chai (basically a shed) that comprises one large tank of stainless steel and one of fibreglass. The wine is racked off the skins after a couple of weeks and is bottled from tank, with no barrel ageing. Pierre’s wine is honest, understated and everything we love about Cabernet Franc from this part of France.

About Slobodne

Zemianske Sady is a family run estate that has been making wine in Hlohovec since 1912. At its inception, the estate was primarily a tobacco farm that also produced wines which sold locally and were beloved by the art scene in Prague. Due to the war and political strife, the estate stopped production until 1997, where now, the fourth and fifth generations have taken over. The vineyards were replanted and the cellar reconstructed, and in 2010, the first vintage under the name Slobodné Vinárstvo was born. In 2016, they began farming their 17 hectares in an environmentally conscious way, and became members of the oldest biodynamic farmers association in Austria. Bees are kept and herbs are grown to promote a healthy soil climate, which they consider paramount to making great wine. They are dedicated to minimal intervention winemaking and only grow varietals that are historically from the area and suited to the climate: Lemberger Blue, Grüner Veltliner, Rhine Riesling, Red Traminer, Devin, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Alibernet. - Zev Rovine
Rosso - Sergio Drago
Sicily - Italy

Pairings: Smoked Meats, Soft Cheese, Charcuterie
Serving Instructions: 54°- 60°

Sergio Drago is slowly becoming one of the most popular winemakers in the northwestern area of Sicily. He's creating fresh new wines that are becoming the star of the show. Currently, Sergio had two hectares in Alcamo, located between Marsala and Palermo. This area is essential in the growth of the native Sicilian grape, Catarratto. The wines are organic and no intervention is made in the cellar and vineyard.
