Cacique Maravilla

Vino Naranja | 2019 | 13%

+

About 30% of the grapes used were affected by botrytis. Skin contact lasts 2 months in open vats of Raulí (native Chilean pink oak) without any punchdowns or pump overs. The wine is then transferred to fiberglass tanks for an additional 10 months of aging. Wine is bottled unfiltered and with no added sulfites. Vineyards are comprised of volcanic sand formed by redeposited ash (known in Chile as trumao ) and are dry-farmed without any chemical intervention. Many of Cacique Maravilla's vines are well over 100 years old and have been in the care of Manuel Moraga's family for generations.
